THE EFFECTS OF THE TECHNOLOGY TO THE IMMIGRATION 

Technology has been developing for over thousands of years, and it affects people’s lives in many different ways. For instance, many people in the world have become Internet users who use it for paying the bills, shopping, online studying, etc.. Researches show that approximately 1.6 billion people use Internet in the world. The Internet’s effects are hard to predict. Not only do education, family affairs, wars, and economic and political problems cause the immigration, but also the Internet causes the immigration. Have you ever heard that the Internet causes the immigration? It may be strange for some people, but it is a reality in today’s world. There are several people who immigrate to another country to get married. Internet technology may cause immigration because of people meeting and falling in love on the Internet, and because of the cooperation between people. Today, Internet technology provides many opportunities to meet new people all around the world. There are a lot of websites for that. Besides these websites, there are many different kinds of programs, such as Skype, Yahoo, Msn, Myspace, Facebook. So, it is possible to meet new people who live abroad. First, people may meet on the Internet by using these kinds of programs, and then they can start to get to know each other. Second, they may fall in love. Next, they might decide to meet in the real life. So, one of them can go to the other’s country for meeting. If everything goes well, they will decide to get married. After that, one of them immigrates to the other’s country. We can see a lot of examples all over the world. From my experience, I met a woman who lives in Florida on the Internet by using Skype. We became really good friends after for a while, and she told me that she had met a man who is from Turkey about 8 months ago. They are going to be married in this summer, and they decided him to immigrate to the U.S. So, when people fall in love each other on the Internet, it may cause the immigration. The cooperation between people is another important reason for immigration, and the cause of that may be technology. Nowadays, many companies are looking for employees from all over the world. So, technology is indispensable to communicate between companies and employees who find a job all over the world. They usually communicate by e-mails or teleconference. First, people search jobs on the Internet. If they find a job, they start to communicate with companies. Second, the job may require an interview, but people don’t have to go to the companies’ country because technology gives an advantage for this interview process. It may be tough sometimes because of the time differences between the countries, but it is better than traveling abroad for an uncertain process. Next, if the companies decide to employ these people, they immigrate to the companies’ country. For instance, my brother looked for a job on the Internet about two years ago, and the company which is located in the U.S. wanted to interview on the Internet. And then, after the interviewing and mailing processes, he got the job. Eventually, he immigrated to the U.S about two years ago. So, immigration may be a result of the cooperation between people. In conclusion, there are many reasons for immigration. Immigrants are in search of better education and a more stable economical and political system. Some families immigrate in waves, one member will establish a steady home and then bring the family to the new country at a later date, to keep the family together. However, the Internet provides some unusual reasons to immigrate that includes Internet dating resulting in marriage and also employment of international employees. I think technology has become very important for people to communicate each other, and it changes people’s lives in many different ways like the immigration. On the other hand, people should be careful while making a critical decision because technology might not give the expected results always.

 Teknoloji binlerce yıldır gelişiyor ve insanların yaşamlarını çok farklı şekillerde etkiliyor. Örneğin, dünyadaki birçok kişi faturayı ödemek, alışveriş yapmak, çevrimiçi eğitim görmek için kullanan İnternet kullanıcıları haline geldi. Araştırmalar, yaklaşık 1,6 milyar insanın dünyada İnternet kullandığını gösteriyor. İnternetin etkileri tahmin etmek zordur. Eğitim, aile işleri, savaşlar ve ekonomik ve siyasi sorunlar yalnızca göçü değil, aynı zamanda internet göçe neden oluyor. Hiç internetin göçe neden olduğunu duydunuz mu? Günümüzde pek çok şirket tüm dünyadan çalışanlar arıyor. Bu nedenle, teknoloji, şirketler ve dünyada bir iş bulan çalışanlar arasında iletişim kurmak için vazgeçilmezdir.
